Fifty and fabulous
50th birthday of one of my oldest friends. Turned out that I was the one at the party knowing her the longest. (Not counting her mum.) Since primary school in 1980. How fabulous is that!

I had some fun with sharks, fishes and coloured paper.
Project: Collage!
When I feel stuck and uninspired in collaging, I often return to the book „Project: Collage“ by Bev Speight. I choose one of the projects or techniques and just give it a go with what’s on hand. Today I chose a freehand technique, just creating simple and quick collages with three or four torn pieces that I glue together. Here’s what I made today:

Feels like home
Tomorrow I’m going to Berlin for a few days, and when I think about it, I feel like I’m going home. Even though I AM at home. It’s wonderful to have different places that feel like home.
Sunday Drawing
I love the online courses of the London Drawing Group. Especially those in the „Secrets of Seeing“ series led by British artist Josh Armitage. Today it was all about colour. I usually watch the recording on the Sunday after class and draw along with Josh. This colour class was inspired by the paintings of the American artist Milton Avery. What I like about Josh is that he’s also into collage and had a nice exercise […]
Joyful July Blog Challenge
To get back into the blogging rhythm, my friend Karen and I have started a „Joyful July Blog Challenge“. The only rule: have fun with it. Let’s go!
Layers, colours, paint
I had fun experimenting with different layers, and different kinds of paint (acrylic and gouache) in the brightest colours I could get.
