Two Sunshines
More Art!
I’ve declared this year as the year of art. I definitely want more art! This includes visiting exhibitions and museums. For the next few weeks and months, I’ve made a list of what I want to see.
Now in February I’m going to see the Helen Frankenthaler exhibition at the Museum Folkwang in Essen. Since I’m a big fan of Abstract Expressionism, I’m totally excited that there’s an exhibition so close.
In Düsseldorf, I’d like to see the exhibitions of Jenny Holzer at K21 and Etel Adnan at K20.
When I’m in Berlin in April, I’m looking forward to William Eggleston’s photographs at the c/o Berlin.
And when I visit Amsterdam two weeks later, I would of course have loved to see this huge Vermeer exhibition. But since it’s already sold out, I’m happy to visit Van Gogh at his museum and also to see some contemporary stuff at MOCO.
In the summer I am interested in „Shift. AI and a future community“ at Marta Herford.

In today’s collage I experimented with a coloured base layer and second layer with black and white magazine photos I transferred to tape.
Wassup, dude
I’m taking English lessons again. To learn some new words I told a friend a few days ago. She surprised me with her question, about what my favourite word was that day. I couldn’t come up with a new one but then remembered a slang word, I hadn’t seen written before like this: wassup. And I thought it fits perfectly with this horse dude from my wine bottle.
How to remove a super cool label from a bottle
I love bottles with joyful labels. They are wonderful material for collages!
So when a bottle with such a lovely label like this one in the photo found its way onto our wine shelf the question was how to remove the label without destroying it.
Thanks Google I found an easy way. Tool needed: a hair dryer.
Yes, you just have to dry the label on the hottest and highest level possible for maybe two minutes.
Then carefully remove it. But watch out! The bottle is hot.
Ah yes! You should drink the wine first 😉
It felt like spring
Today was the first day that felt like spring is just around the corner. Even though it’s freezing cold. There were deer having breakfast on the field. I even saw a fox running away when Cooper and I dared to disturb the morning idyll. I enjoy those few sunny days a lot and am glad the days are getting longer again.
Inspiring AF
Found this book when I was looking for literature about collages. I just flipped through the first pages and was inspired AF! Had to create a collage immediately. But too private to share.
Grounding
I need those grounding rituals in the morning, like walking outside, no matter what the weather is like. As a dog owner, you (and your dog) have no choice but to go outside every day.
After several grey and rainy days, I was especially grateful to enjoy a beautiful clear sky with sun and moon at the same time and all colours from a soft blue to pink. And that I was fortunate to experience this peace and quietness, while in other places on this planet the earth’s inner forces are causing destruction, death and grief.
